The Grenache grapes were grown on the bush vines on our northerly facing granite hillside.
John together with Jane Dunkley our consultant, have given this wine the delicate touch that this fabulous fruit deserves. They chilled the fruit after it was hand harvested then fermented in open fermenters before gentle basket pressing with the wine going into French oak puncheons, so as not to have the delicious fruit swamped with oak and tannins. This gentle touch has resulted in a soft medium bodied red wine having a wonderful aroma of berries and vanilla with a cherry fruit soft palate with mild tannins and delicious lingering warm flavours.
We love serving with some strong cheese or roast lamb and roasted vegetables.
